Mystery Place

Today, we had a Skype call with some other students from a school in another country. We had to ask each other yes and no questions to guess what school they are in and they had to guess what school we were in. Everyone had their own jobs. There were some things we needed to improve on and some things we were pretty good at. Sometimes, there were lots of mistakes. The connection wasn't really good so it was hard to heard them and we sometimes misheard them and they had to repeat what they said again and again. We didn't manage to guess their school by the end of the lesson, and they weren't able to guess our school too in the time that we had. Next time I will add and think of more questions we could ask them into the Google Sheet. My most useful question was 'Are you in South America?'. It was asked and then we knew if it was in South America or not which it wasn't. 

Success Critera: 

Pupils Must- Play their role and submit a question.

Pupils Should- Be effective in playing their role, and submit at least one useful geographical question.

Pupils Could- Explain the difference between a useful geographical question, and a not so useful geographical question. 

I think I met and achieved a "Must" because I entered at least one question.

Mistery school Skype real thing

 Today we played a little game were you were Skypeing a different school and we were trying to find there school while they were trying to find are school.

when we were doing this skype we made hats to remover what we were and I was a researcher and a I helped the people to know what country we are. And here is a photo of some class members with their hats.

Art!!!!

Today we finished our art and colour coded it. It was really fun. We all loved it. It was reasonably hard. 

Music

Today at lunch and snack we practiced for our class band. It was so much fun. We are doing One Call Away.

Common sense media

Today we did this thing were we had to take three assessments about our safety online  and not to cyberbullying 

Most of the class dyed our batik today. Pak Feri helped us dip it in the dye, the colours that we got were red and purple.

Guided reading

Today we read the book called Kensuke's kingdom, and it was fun because there were lots of moments in the book where it was tense.

English tests

In the first 2 periods of the day we took English, spelling and reading tests combined into 2 tests on the computer. We think the class did very well. After that we chose the 3 best logos from our IPC.

Batik making

Today we didn't have our teacher in class for the whole day so we went to another class and we designed our own batik and it was very fun. 

Guess the place

Today Mr Eaglestone picked a country and using geographical terms we had to guess the place he was thinking of. It was very fun and we got quicker every time.

DRAMA

Today we practiced for our brilliant drama performance.

Coffee talk

Today we talked about coffee and we learnt that a goat, yes a goat found the coffee beans that we use today to keep adults awake. But all that really happened was they told us one short story and a whole bunch of questions. Nevertheless we also learnt that coffee speeds up our heart beat. It shocked us that Indonesian parents sometimes give their babies coffee when they are sick, so that their heart beats faster and they sweat so that their temperature goes down.

Indonesian week

Today was start of Indonesian week. There was a performance at snack. There was a whole crowd of people watching. Two people in the performance were really good at flips. There were these two guys who put on huge masks that looked kind of creepy.

Map tracing

We did an activity about tracing a map in Indonesia. We drew out the differences between 2002 to 2015. We colour coded different areas on the map. After we had completed the task we stuck them in our IPC books and wrote a tiny reflection about what we did answering questions Mr. Eaglestone sent us. 

These are some of us working. Some of us used a light table to trace some used the window and some just did it on our tables. We traced on tracing paper. 

Debate

Today we went outside in to the pod and we discussed arguments and counter arguments. And after lunch we started the intense debate about a hotel being placed in a village.
